It’s that time of year.
I will admit that I am not a good gift giver. I am always late and not super creative. Howeverrrr, I love getting gifts. Basically I’m a kid. Although kids can be pretty creative. Anywho, I thought I would make it easy for those of you who are like me and have to google gift ideas. Or if you are someone who is extra on top of it and sends your family a wish list, then this is for you too.
This is a random list, in no particular order, of gifts that a runner would love with a variety of prices and purposes. I hope it helps!
Socks. Trust me, runners love socks.
My fave no-bounce sunglasses that are also cheap enough* that I don’t over worry about losing them.
Shokz headphones. These are obviously a pricier deal. They are however pretty cool in that they are no bounce, no slip and allow for better auditory awareness of surroundings.
Feet First Gift Card. My favorite local running shoe store. Running shoes are the most important tool for a runner and making sure that you get fit in a shoe that is best for your feet is important. Instead of trying to buy shoes for your runner, go ahead and gift them some cash so that they can get exactly what is right for them. You can also likely get many of the other items on this list at a local running store as well.
Kind of like socks in the laundry, a runner's gloves easily go missing. Oh, that’s just me? Well, it’s basically winter. So help keep your runner’s hands warm.
Safety. Enough said. This world is far messier than we would like it to be. There are many safety products out there, and this alarm is one of them.
Ahh yes. My favorite recovery shoes that are not super cute and also that I live in all of the time. This is one moment where fashion needs to not really matter. Take care of those feet and legs and your runner will be able to run more. What else could they want?
Whyy with all of the early morning and evening darkness? This light vest is great for any runner who has to push the limits on daylight.
A water bottle, because we all need to hydrate better. But especially the sweaty runner in your life.
Obviously your runner could use some swag. We literally pay money to run a race in order to get “free” swag. (I never said we were sane). Get your runner some swag that they don’t have to earn.
And last but not least, coaching. Coaching can be beneficial for every runner. No matter their speed or distance or experience. Gift your runner the support of a personalized plan, kindness and confidence.
I hope this list makes your life a little easier and your runner a little happier.
Happy Running,
Teddi
